What your visitors will find

I build the pages your customers actually look for — not a generic template.

Classes

Every class offered with: style, level (beginner/intermediate/advanced), age group, day/time, instructor, duration, drop-in price and session/semester pricing. Organize by age (toddler/children/teen/adult) or by style. This is the most important page — parents and students decide based on the schedule.

Schedule

Weekly class schedule in a clear grid or table. Filterable by age, style, or instructor is ideal. Indicate which classes have openings vs. waitlist. Keep this updated — nothing frustrates a potential student more than outdated schedules.

Instructors

Individual profiles with photo, training background, performance experience, teaching philosophy, certifications. Parents trust instructors with their children — bios build that trust. Include fun details (favorite style to teach, years dancing).

Registration

How to sign up: online registration form or link to registration system, session dates, pricing (per class, per month, per semester), family discounts, trial class or free first class offer. Payment policies (auto-pay, drop-in, package).

Recital / performances

Annual recital info: date, venue, ticket info, rehearsal schedule. Past recital photos and videos (with parent permission). Competition results and team achievements. This page is for current families and prospective ones — it shows what students work toward.

Dress code / what to wear

Required attire and shoes by class type. Where to buy (link to local dancewear shops or online retailers). Many studios have specific requirements (black leotard, pink tights, no street shoes). Include photos so parents know exactly what to get.

Studio

Photos of the space: studios (mirrors, barres, sprung floors), lobby/waiting area, dressing rooms. Sprung floors and proper flooring are selling points — mention them. Note the number and size of studios.

About

Studio history, owner/director bio, mission and philosophy, community involvement. "We've trained dancers in [town] since [year]" or "Our students have gone on to [achievements]."

Summer programs

Summer camps, intensives, workshops, guest artist sessions. These often run on a different schedule from the school year. Promote starting in March–April.

Private lessons

If offered: what they're for (wedding dance, competition prep, technique work, catch-up), pricing, scheduling, which instructors offer privates.

Events

Recitals, showcases, competitions, open houses, parent observation weeks, holiday performances, community performances.

Contact

Phone, email, address, studio hours (office hours vs. class hours — they're often different). Parking. Note if the studio is inside a larger building.

A design that fits your brand

Graceful, energetic, and community-oriented. The site should reflect the studio's primary style — a ballet school feels different from a hip-hop studio.

Varies by style. Ballet and ballroom: soft pinks, lavender, cream, warm golds — elegant and classic. Hip-hop and contemporary: bold, dark, urban — black, white, strong accents. Children's dance: bright, cheerful, welcoming. Let the studio's identity lead.

Classic stack (Georgia) for ballet and ballroom studios — elegant and traditional. Modern stack (system-ui) for contemporary, hip-hop, and mixed-style studios. Match the typography to the dance culture.

Your business tools, connected

I integrate with the platforms you already use — styled links, not embedded scripts. Your site stays fast and private.

Jackrabbit Dance

Studio management: class scheduling, registration, billing, attendance, costume ordering, recital management. The dominant platform for dance studios. jackrabbitdance.com

DanceStudio-Pro

Alternative studio management with online registration, billing, and parent portal. dancestudio-pro.com

Studio Director

Studio management with parent app, attendance, and billing. thestudiodirector.com

Square

For drop-in payments, merchandise, and recital tickets.

Google Business Profile

Essential. Parents search "dance classes near me," "ballet classes for kids [town]," "adult dance classes [area]."

Facebook

Very active for dance studios. Parent communities, event promotion, class showcases. Many studios rely on Facebook groups for communication.

Instagram

Visual platform ideal for dance. Class clips, recital highlights, student spotlights.

Compliance handled

I know the regulations for your industry so you don't have to research them.

Background checks

Staff and instructors who work with minors should have background checks. Many states require this for businesses working with children. Note on the website: "All instructors undergo background checks." Parents expect this.

Child supervision policies

Clear policies on: drop-off and pickup procedures, minimum age for drop-off, waiting area rules, who is authorized to pick up a child. Display these prominently. Never allow photos of minor students without parent consent.

Photo and video consent

Parents must consent to photos and videos of their children being used on the website, social media, or marketing. Include a media release in the registration form. On the website, only display photos with consent. See docs/smb/legal-checklist.md.

Liability waiver

Required for physical activity. Include in registration. Note physical risks of dance (sprains, strains, falls). Parents sign for minors.

Music licensing

Studios that play music during classes need ASCAP/BMI/SESAC licensing. Most studios need blanket licenses for all three PROs. Studios that record and post class videos with music must also consider synchronization rights.

Insurance

General liability insurance and professional liability (instruction) insurance. Some landlords require proof of insurance. If hosting recitals at outside venues, event liability insurance may be needed.

Health and safety

First aid kit on premises, instructor CPR/first aid certification (recommended), emergency contact forms for all students, allergy and medical condition awareness.

ADA compliance

Note accessible features of the studio. Adaptive dance programs for students with disabilities are increasingly common and valued.

Competition regulations

If the studio has a competition team, note which competition organizations they participate in (NUVO, JUMP, Starpower, etc.). Each has its own rules on age divisions, music, costumes, and content appropriateness.

Content that keeps visitors coming back

Class clips and technique demonstrations, recital and competition highlights, student spotlights and achievements, instructor introductions, dance style explainers ("What is contemporary dance?"), registration deadline reminders, costume previews, behind-the-scenes of recital prep, parent tips ("how to support your young dancer"), summer camp announcements, guest artist workshops, community performance recaps, dance history and culture posts, playlist and music recommendations, stretch and conditioning tips, studio renovations or improvements, alumni spotlights.

I'll surface seasonal content ideas so your site stays timely and relevant.
