About Anglesite

Anglesite is an AI-powered webmaster. It runs inside Claude Code and helps you build a real website — one you own, control, and can take anywhere.

Why this exists

Building a website shouldn't require a computer science degree. But the current options aren't great:

• Website builders are easy but lock you in. Your content lives on their servers, in their format, under their rules. Cancel and you lose everything.
• Hiring a developer works but costs thousands. And you're dependent on them for every small change.
• Doing it yourself means learning HTML, CSS, hosting, DNS, SSL, deployment — a lot of moving parts for someone who just wants a website.

Anglesite is a different approach. The AI handles the technical complexity. You describe what you want in plain language. The result is a standard, static website built on Astro — files you can read, edit, move, and host anywhere.

What makes it different

• You own everything. The code, the content, the domain. There's no account to cancel, no subscription to forget, no platform that can shut down.
• It's real web technology. HTML, CSS, JavaScript. Not a proprietary format. Not a database. Files that any web server can host.
